Community Overview: Virginia is blessed with the beautiful Jennie Marr Dunaway Memorial Park with its pool, ball diamonds, tennis court, walking path and park pavilion. Along the park is the Rexroat Prairie (prairie grass and wildflowers) and authentic log cabins. Virginia is a mere 5 minutes west of the 16,500 acre Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area, one of the state's largest and most beautiful natural settings. It offers fishing, hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, hunting and camping. Located a short distance from Springfield, this community offers small town living with comforts of shops, restaurants and entertainment nearby. There are several public schools in the county and several universities and colleges within a short drive. The town is located 15 minutes from Beardstown, 20 minutes from Jacksonville and 45 minutes from the heart of Springfield
